She thought that she was on the cutting edge of fashion trends, but she hadn’t realised that Australia had been so isolated from the rest of the world. It was unique and different, following its own course rather than one marked out before them. The materials they were using were the same but they were both coming up with very different results. She appreciated the French use of brilliant stones to create the sense of nature and that is what drew her to the turquoise earrings, which to her were pools of tranquility. They gave her that sense of calm in such a chaotic and changing world.
